Back To School Activities

 Today,room 8 did some back to school activities.They were very fun.But the hard thing was just remembering everything your buddy did in the holidays.But it was still very fun.I liked when we could write about our holidays.How was your holidays?

Learning Statistics

Today room 8 and i were working on Statistics for our math it was very fun espesaily when it came to making our very own.The hardest thing for me was having to go around asking people what they liked more but i still thought it was super fun i would really like to do it again. 

My Digital Citizen

Today me and room 8 tried to make our own digital citizen and it was pretty fun.My favorite thing was making my skirt because it was the easiest but the hardest thing for me was doing the face and hair but overall it was really fun!

Maori Language Week Activities

 Today room 8 and i did some fun maori language week activities.My favorite one was the Number one because i liked making my mote.And the hardest thing for me was the colour activity because there was a dark blue and a light blue and i thought they were called the same thing.But i still thought this was really fun. 

Tokyo Olympics Tasks

 Last week room 8 did some Tokyo olympics tasks.It was super fun doing the torch for me because it was challenging for me and we got to use curve and polyline for it and we got to colour it in (but we had to try find the colours of it) What i learned was that this year they call it tokyo olympics 2020 because it didn't happen last year because of covid-19. 

The Vacation!

 On Tuesday our teacher made us do some fun four minute writing pictures.So four minute writing is when the teacher will hand out pictures to the class and we will have to write a story about that and we only have 4 minutes to write it.The next day we will choose one the pictures and write a full story about it.  

Matariki anamation

 Today we were  learning about Matariki and we made an animation about in the beginning

and when Matariki started.Matariki starts on the 1st July to the 5th.There are 7 stars without a

microscope but with one there are 9! I did golds and yellows for my stars and made the Matariki star the

biggest.this was really fun choosing the colours!

 Last thursday me Shania and Pippa made a catapult.It was VERY challenging but it turned out to be

VERY fun.The hardest thing for me and my group was making it stand its own but the most easeist 

for our group was planning it but it didn't look as easy as it looked.

Why do we have earthquakes?

 A few weeks ago the whole of the class were researching on Why do we have earthquakes?

the class first had to write it in our books  and then publish it on slides and then had to highlight all the technocall words .

My Awesome Digital Footprint!

The whole of room eight  had learnt about our smart footprint.Our smart footprint had the websites that we would go on online at home and at school, and what I learnt is that whatever we go on it will stay there forever! It would just instantly stay there even on our first time looking it up,even if I deleted it it would still easy for people to find it.The hardest part for me was trying to type up the label for Typing.Com,but the easiest thing was researching TikTok.

 Hi I'm Lucia  and I´m from Mangapapa School in Gisborne. I'm in year 5.  have always lived in Gisborne  and I was born in Gisborne. Half of my family is Irish, but I am still kiwi. I have one sister and one brother .

I am good at Writing in handwriting. I enjoy playing dodgeball,

My challenge is maths.  My goals for this year is to always get my learning done.

What I am looking forward for this year is E.O.T.C because we're going to be doing some learning outside the school.

Jean Batten always inspires me to be like her Because I'm going to challenge myself when I'm older,
